I think the industry can blur professional relationships and friendships way too much. You can respect someone, love working with them, refer them, communicate well and genuinely want them to succeed without going deeper or "hanging out". Like let's not fake it. Sometimes being great industry peers is enough. And those are the relationships I tend to appreciate the most.. straightforward.
