I'm starting to realize why some photographers stick to second shooting. So much less responsibility...show up and shoot. And even with that, I'm finding myself chasing people down for basic communication and preparation 😅 Some of these people are talented, but I can't imagine trusting them with an entire client experience when the bare minimum is this difficult. Maybe they'd rise to the occasion if it were their own clients, but why are the basic business practices so lax?
There are some really talented photographers I’ve been working with lately whose work I genuinely love. But getting a response takes a week or more!, usually a follow up and I’m like ohhhhh, I get it now. You can be talented and disappoint people…resulting in them not wanting to come back. I know I haven’t. What a buuuuummmmmmmer
