I wonder how much of this comes from the pressure to deliver a certain kind of gallery. Couples see these moments online, vendors recreate them, and suddenly they’re just part of every timeline. Are we documenting weddings or producing them?

I hate how manufactured some wedding moments feel, but I also don’t know how to get out of the cycle. Even couples who say they align with my approach end up performing. First looks, gift exchanges, room reveals, grand entrances, outfit changes…all these “special moments”… I can feel them performing. Like there’s an expectation of how emotional or exciting each moment should be!! 😬 I’m sick of it, but I don’t know the solution, and I know I’m part of the problem! 😭
